APHysio, LLC is owned and operated by Amy Price Hoover, PT, DPT. Amy graduated from Ohio University in 1998 with a BA in Pre-Physical Therapy. She attended graduate school near Chicago at Rosalind Franklin University and graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) in 2002. Since then she has worked in the outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting, including both private practices and hospital/health systems. Early on in her career, she focused her continuing education on manual therapy and women's health courses. She participated in a mentoring-based training program for pelvic floor physical therapy and has been practicing this since 2004. She also helped to start a physical therapy practice within a large Ob/Gyn practice in Chicago, where she continued her specialization in women's health and pelvic floor. Amy is also Chief Physical Therapist and a founding member of the Clinical Advisory Board for the functional fitness brand P.volve and helps guide and build content for their online streaming platform.

APHysio LLC was formed in 2018. With the evolution and changes in the healthcare and insurance industry, Amy saw the need for a provider that would focus on the patient in a one-on-one setting. She provides specialty services, focusing on hands on manual therapy and individualized exercise prescription. Amy has a special interest and extensive experience in the prenatal/postnatal and women's health patient population. She also has a strong background in orthopedic and sports-related injuries, working with athletes of all levels in various team and individual sports.

When she is not working, you can find her spending time with her husband and two children or any of her various pets. Amy is an animal lover and also enjoys being an amateur equestrian. Some of her other interests include running, gardening, camping and listening to true crime and human interest podcasts.
